LITTERS
Our Litters
Wise Goldens produces one litter a year, planned intentionally based on health, timing, and long-term program goals. We carry a waitlist for each planned litter. Because of this limited availability and consistent demand, most puppies are reserved before they are born. Families who are seriously interested are encouraged to apply early. We review each application to make sure our puppies are a good fit for each home, and once approved, families reserve their spot with a deposit. Puppy selection goes in the order deposits are received.
How We Raise Our Puppies
Our puppies are raised in our home, and each one is individually handled and cared for multiple times a day. Starting early, we focus on:
Early potty training, with a designated potty area so puppies learn to keep their sleeping space clean
Quality nutrition and supplements for every stage of our dogs' lives. Moms and young puppies start on Royal Canin Maxi Starter, then move to Royal Canin Golden Retriever Puppy and Adult formulas, along with probiotics, fish oil, and prenatal and postnatal support.
Sounds, including fireworks, revving engines, construction, vacuums, and other everyday household noises
Textures and tactile experiences of all kinds
People of all ages, including kids, teens, and adults
Other animals, including our cats and dogs
Everything is done in small doses while the puppies feel safe and comfortable, so they go home confident and ready for the world.
Names and Color Collars
Each litter is given a theme, and puppies are named accordingly. From the very beginning, each puppy wears a coordinating colored felt collar, so we can track their development and get to know each one individually. It also makes it easy for families to follow along and get to know the puppies as they grow.
Staying Connected
Each litter has a private GroupMe for its puppy families. It starts as early as mom's heat cycle, so families can follow along through breeding, pregnancy, birth, and go-home day. The group stays open long after that, so families can keep sharing photos and staying in touch for years to come.
Always Learning
We're always learning and improving how we raise our puppies. That includes attending breeder webinars and trainings, staying up to date with current research, and working with other experienced breeders to share knowledge and advice.
Each puppy goes home with:
Veterinary exam and first vaccinations
AKC registration paperwork
A sample of their Royal Canin puppy food
A blanket from their mom and litter with a familiar scent
Our puppy guidebook with care guidance and tips for the transition home
Early socialization and foundational training, including a start on potty training
Lifelong access to our private litter GroupMe and shared photo album
Opportunities to attend puppy meetups throughout the year
GOLDIE’S LITTER – FALL 2026
This litter continues the Wise Goldens line through Goldie, who was born and raised in our home from Sadie's 2024 Friends Litter. On September 6, 2026, Goldie welcomed her first litter — 12 healthy puppies (7 girls, 5 boys) — sired by Rockin-B Farms Golden Archer ("Archie"), an English cream Golden Retriever from Robinsnest Goldens.
Both Goldie and Archie are fully health-tested, with results meeting our program standards, including OFA/PennHip Excellent hips for both parents. We chose this pairing carefully, for health, temperament, and the qualities that make our line what it is.
ESTIMATED TIMELINE
Whelped: September 6, 2026
Go-home day: November 1, 2026
NOTE: This litter is fully reserved! Thank you to all of our wonderful puppy families. Applications are now open for Sadie's 2027 litter.
UPCOMING LITTER - SADIE (2027)
Sadie’s next litter is planned for 2027. Timing will depend on her heat cycle, and we’ll share updates as it gets closer.
Sadie will be paired with Archie, the English cream sire of our 2026 Fall Litter. Archie is known for his smart, friendly, and mellow temperament, and his health testing complements Sadie’s beautifully.
Sadie has produced two strong, consistent litters within the Wise Goldens program, with puppies known for their temperament, adaptability, and strong connection to people.
This pairing is expected to be in high demand, and our waitlist often fills before breeding even happens.
