Our Story

Wise Goldens is a small, intentional breeding program in San Luis Obispo County focused on raising Golden Retrievers with exceptional temperament, sound structure, and long-term health. Our dogs are raised in-home as part of daily life – not in kennels – so puppies are handled, socialized, and exposed to real household environments from the start. We’re hands-on through every stage, because we believe those early weeks are critical in shaping confident, adaptable companions.

Each litter is thoughtfully planned rather than repeated on a schedule, with pairings selected for temperament, health clearances, structure, and long-term compatibility. We carefully consider pedigree and genetic diversity, avoiding close lineage overlap to support healthier outcomes across generations. Our goal is to raise dogs that integrate seamlessly into family life – stable, people-focused, and responsive.
